First Meeting of the Bilateral Dniester Commission

Delegations from the Moldovan and Ukrainian parts of the Commission discussed the functioning of the Secretariat, rules of procedure and working bodies of the Commission, outcomes of the GEF / UNDP / OSCE project “Enabling transboundary co-operation and integrated water resources management in the Dniester River Basin”, preliminary results of the analysis of the impact of the Dniester hydropower complex on ecosystems and water use in the basin, recommendations for the updated draft operating rules for water reservoirs of the Dniester HPP and PSPP cascade, and outcomes of the 16th Meeting of Plenipotentiaries of the Governments of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
