The GEF / UNDP/ OSCE/ UNECE project “Enabling transboundary co-operation and integrated water resources management in the Dniester River Basin” was developed at the request of the governments of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
The objective of the project is to introduce a framework for integrated water resource management in the Dniester River Basin to ensure its sustainable development.

- The project is funded by the United Nations Global Environment Facility (GEF)
- Implementing organisations are the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP, Istanbul) and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE, Vienna-Kiev-Chisinau), with the support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE, Geneva)
The GEF / UNDP / OSCE / UNECE project actively uses the outcomes of previous projects.
